Obama Increases Lead in Popular Votes

Washington, Nov 7 (Prensa Latina) President Barack Obama increased today to 59.7 million the popular votes in his favor, expanding the lead over Republican candidate Mitt Romney in the November 6 elections. That figure also indicates that Obama won in 26 of the 50 states of the Union, and accumulates 303 electoral votes with 97 percent of counted ballots, according to preliminary data provided by CNN.

Electoral Irregularities in Several US States

Washington, Nov 6 (PL) U.S. authorities supervising the presidential election today reported problems or irregularities in the voting process nationwide in various states, with more relevance in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. Members of the Election Protection Civic Coalition reported that eight hours after the polls were opened on Tuesday, it had received 35.000 calls of complaints from citizens in all 50 states and the District of Columbia .

Cuban Polling Stations Open for Second Round Municipal Elections

Election Runoff to be held on November 4th
