Havana, Oct 31, (RHC), — Cuba
will carry out the second round of municipal elections next Sunday November 4th, after they were postponed due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy on most part of the national territory, which was severely hit by strong winds and torrential rains.
However the runoff will exclude the provinces of Holguin and Santiago de Cuba, which were the hardest hit by Sandy and where current circumstances impede the celebration of the electoral exercise.
In Holguin the vote will take place on Sunday November 11, while the date will be announced later for Santiago de Cuba.
