Obama Increases Lead in Popular Votes

Washington, Nov 7 (Prensa Latina) President Barack Obama increased today to 59.7 million the popular votes in his favor, expanding the lead over Republican candidate Mitt Romney in the November 6 elections. That figure also indicates that Obama won in 26 of the 50 states of the Union, and accumulates 303 electoral votes with 97 percent of counted ballots, according to preliminary data provided by CNN.

Electoral Irregularities in Several US States

Cuban Polling Stations Open for Second Round Municipal Elections

Havana, Oct 31, (RHC), — Cuba will carry out the second round of municipal elections next Sunday November 4th, after they were postponed due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy on most part of the national territory, which was severely hit by strong winds and torrential rains.
