The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Solidarity with Cuba in Venezuelan Fine Arts
Caracas, Jul 19 (Prensa Latina) Solidarity with Cuba finds space today in the Venezuelan Fine Arts through the exhibition Three Great Leaders of America, with works that pay tribute to Simon Bolivar, Cuban national hero Jose Marti, and Commander Hugo Chavez.
The Caracas Museum hosts the exhibition of three dozen works by 23 artists from different states of the country, in an action that is part of the 7th Meeting of Solidarity with Cuba, scheduled for July 24 to 27 in the capital.

Venzuelan President Nicolas Maduro Visits Cuba
Havana, Apr 27 (Prensa Latina) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro arrived in Cuba his first official visit as President, informed the media today. According to Granma newspaper, he was received at the airport by Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla, member of the Politburo and Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Venezuelan President is attending the 13th Intergovernmental Committee Meeting Cuba-Venezuela, being held since yesterday here.

Venezuelan Electoral Power Endorses Presidential Polls Results
Caracas, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) The National Electoral Council (CNE) of Venezuela said Monday that the elections were concluded on 14 April after issuing an irreversible result, in a context where an eventual challenge corresponds only to the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ). The vice president of the entity, Sandra Oblitas, denied that the audit about to begin has the opportunity to lead to a change in the final balance of the elections.
