The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Trigger words and the duty of revolutionaries in the Internet era

Anti-communist propaganda based on manipulating terms like “democracy,” “human rights” and “freedom” has expanded its repertory with certain expressions about Cuba based on a fabricated image, which are strewn across on the Internet as common knowledge. Women extol Cuban scientific achievement in Venezuela

Dr. Yailin Rios praised today the development of Cuban science seen through the application of the medicine Heberprot-P in patients with diabetic foot ulcers in Venezuela. Cuban agriculture seeks greater hydraulic exploitation

Cuba seeks to increase the exploitation of hydraulic infrastructure by using efficient irrigation techniques, the Ministry of Agriculture (MINAG) announced on Monday. Cuban baseball to participate in Caribbean Cup

The Cuban Baseball Federation has expressed interest in participating in the third edition of the Caribbean Baseball Cup, to be held in Curaçao next April. Higinio Vélez, head of the organization, told Jit that the tournament will include teams from Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Panama, Peru, Chile and Aruba. Ernesto Reinoso, national baseball Commissioner, reported that the Cuban team will include members of the pre-selection group to be designated with semifinals currently underway.
