The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Mexican President for Stronger Relations with Cuba
Havana, Apr 11 (Prensa Latina) Mexican President Felipe Calderon expressed here on Wednesday his government’s interest in bringing relations with Cuba to the highest level at the start of his two-day visit to Cuba.”We want to broaden trade and investment between Cuba and Mexico,” Calderon told journalists upon arriving at the Jose Marti international airport, where he was welcomed by Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra.

Raul Castro Welcomed Hugo Chavez to Cuba on Saturday
Havana, April 1 (RHC)—Cuban President Raul Castro welcomed Venezuelan head of state Hugo Chavez at Havana´s Jose Marti International Airport Saturday Night. Chavez returned to Havana to continue with his radiotherapy treatment. Upon his arrival at the airport, Hugo Chavez held a brief dialog with Raul Castro. Chavez is being accompanied by foreign minister Nicolas Maduro.
