Mexican Businessmen Condemn US Blockade vs. Cuba

Mexico, Nov 1 (Prensa Latina) Mexican business people condemned today the U.S. government”s blockade against Cuba, in a statement in which they also expressed their solidarity with the people of the Caribbean island. The Mexico-Cuba Bilateral Committee said in a letter addressed to Cuban ambassador in this country Dagoberto Rodriguez, whose unjust policy the Cubans have faced for 52 years, which has been the main obstacle for the economic and social development of the country.

Election Runoff to be held on November 4th

Havana, Oct 31, (RHC), — Cuba will carry out the second round of municipal elections next Sunday November 4th, after they were postponed due to the impact of Hurricane Sandy on most part of the national territory, which was severely hit by strong winds and torrential rains. However the runoff will exclude the provinces of Holguin and Santiago de Cuba, which were the hardest hit by Sandy and where current circumstances impede the celebration of the electoral exercise.

It has dozens of medicinal properties,” Fidel said in an article posted at the Cubadebate website, in response to a reader.

More than 7 million Cubans exercise their voting right: official report

In Norway Negotiating Teams for Peace in Colombia

Cuba’s Migration Policy Updated

As part of the work undertaken to update the current migration policy adjusting it to prevailing conditions in the present and the foreseeable future, the Cuban government has decided to forgo the required Travel Permit as well as the Letter of Invitation. Therefore, as from January 14th, 2013, it will only be necessary to submit the ordinary passport, duly updated, and the visa issued by the country of destination, in those cases when it is required.
