The Iberostar Varadero Hotel, located on the Hicacos Peninsula in the province of Matanzas, is offering tourists more attractions this winter season, with improvements which include expansion of the spa and new services for vacationing families.
Among the new options is a “bar” specifically for children located near the water park which young visitors always enjoy, added to please clients of all ages, as is expected of a five-star hotel.
Ibia Betancourt Asén, deputy director general of the facility, explained that offerings of special interest to families have been well received, and that landscaping work to beautify the grounds has impressed visitors.
She reported that 388 rooms have been added to offer superior comfort, to meet the expectations of guests arriving from the resort’s principal emissary markets in Canada and Europe, in addition to the many Cuban clients.
More than 400 workers are ready for the increase in arrivals expected this month, at one of the best rated hotels in Varadero, Cuba’s most important beach resort located some 120 kilometers east of Havana.
The Iberostar Varadero received the province’s Quality Prize for 2014, in recognition of its outstanding accomplishments in efficiency, guest satisfaction, management, and sustainable tourism practices.
The travel website Tripadvisor ranks the Iberostar Varadero as third among facilities of its type on the Hicacos Peninsula, and awarded the hotel in Traveler’s Choice distinction in 2014.
