The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Raúl meets with Army General Do Ba Ty
Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, met with Army General Do Ba Ty, deputy minister of Defense and Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, together with the delegation accompanying him, on Wednesday, October 28. The General is on an official visit to the island following an invitation from the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

Raúl receives Slovakian Prime Minister
Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Cuba’s Councils of State and Ministers, yesterday afternoon October 8, received the honorable Prime Minister Robert Fico of the Slovak Republic. The two leaders confirmed the positive state of bilateral relations during a cordial meeting, and agreed on the existing potential to further develop ties. They additionally discussed issues of mutual interest on the international agenda.
