The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Details about Launch of Fidel Castro’s Book Disclosed
Argentine academic Atilio Borón and Cuban-American lawyer Jose Pertierra will be panelists at next Wednesday”s launch of the book “Nuestro Deber Es Luchar” (Our Duty Is to Fight), by the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro. The book will be presented simultaneously in Havana, Caracas, Quito, Buenos Aires, Luanda, Santo Domingo, La Paz, Mexico City, Bridgetown, San Juan, Kingston, Washington, Madrid and Berlin, at 14:00 hours, Cuba time (19:00 GMT).

World Youth Study Medicine in Cuba
More than 20,000 youth from Latin American, African and Oceania countries are currently training in the Medical Sciences universities of all Cuban provinces. The 2011-2012 school year officially began on Monday at the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM), located at the outskirts of Havana, with an enrollment of about 2,300 foreign students. This is the 12th academic year of this institution, founded in 1999 by an initiative by the leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro. Previously, the center graduated about 10,000 physicians.

Let us wish him our most steadfast support and trust. The lies of the empire and the treason of the quislings shall be defeated. Celebrations for First Meeting between Fidel and Guayasamín 50 Years Ago
With the inauguration on Friday of the photographic exhibition “50th Anniversary of the First Meeting between Fidel and Guayasamin,” the fraternal bonds existing between Cuba and Ecuador were recalled at the center named after the Latin American painter. Edgar Ponce, ambassador of the South American nation to Havana, remembered that half a century ago, in the evening of May 6th, 1961, Guayasamín painted the first of the four portraits he made of the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution.
