Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of the Councils of State and Ministers, received Luis Guillermo Solís, President of the Republic of Costa Rica this Tuesday, December 15, during an official visit to the island.In a cordial atmosphere, the two leaders exchanged views on the good state of bilateral relations and agreed on the desire to strengthen them. Cuba and Costa Rica strengthen ties of friendship

Colombian Government and FARC Sign Historic Deal on Victims of Conflict

Representatives of the Revolutionary Armed Army of Colombia (FARC-EP) and the Colombian government forces signed an agreement this Tuesday on the issue of victims of armed conflict, within the framework of the peace talks. The pact is the fourth major agreement between the parties during the peace negotiations in Havana since 2012. Other big deals covered land issues and rural development, political participation of the insurgency and drug trafficking.

Costa Rican President makes official visit to Cuba to strengthen relations

The President of Costa Rica, Luis Guillermo Solís Rivera, arrived in Havana yesterday, December 13, leading a delegation of government officials and business leaders with the goal of strengthening relations with Cuba. Solís indicated that during the official visit, he hoped to conclude the process of normalization of bilateral ties which began in the 1990s, and to develop cooperation in several areas.
