The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Senior UNESCO Official to Visit Cuba
Qiang Tang, UNESCO’ s Assistant Director-General for Education, will pay an official visit to Cuba from February 14 to 16, was reported in Paris today. The official will be accompanied by David Atchoarena, Director of the Division for Policies and Lifelong Learning Systems.

Cuban First Vice President Meets Palestinian Foreign Minister
Cuban First Vice President Miguel Diaz-Canel met on Saturday with Riad al-Malki, foreign minister of the Palestinian National Authority, who is on an official visit to the island.
