At 7:10 a.m. This Monday a roof slab collapsed in a room of the building located at Sol No.466 between Egido and Villegas, in Old Havana, which caused the death of a girl.
The detached element in the three-story building affected the lower room, reports journalist Daniela Gutiérrez, from Canal Habana.
Immediately, local and provincial authorities moved to the scene along with firefighters, ambulance and the Ministry of the Interior.
The follow-up of the actions carried out at the scene of the events continues and the population will be informed in a timely manner.
So far, two women and a minor have been found.
All receive care in hospital centers and the search for another minor continues.
Cuban President mourns the death of a girl after the collapse in Havana
After the collapse that occurred this Monday morning in Havana, the girl Ismary Orozco died.
Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez lamented the death of the minor and conveyed condolences to the girl’s parents and family.
“We deeply regret the death of the girl Ismary Orozco, in a collapse that occurred in Old Havana. Reach her parents and family our condolences and accompaniment in these difficult hours. Capital authorities from early attend to this painful situation, ”the president wrote on his Twitter account.

Two women and a minor are treated at the Calixto García and Juan Manuel Márquez hospitals in this capital, victims of a collapse that occurred this morning in a three-story building in Old Havana.
Luis Antonio Torres Iríbar, first secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba in the province, and the governor, Reinaldo García Zapata, visited these health institutions to inquire about the care and condition of those affected, reported the Portal del Ciudadano de La Habana.
