Francisco Duran, national director of Epidemiology for the Ministry of Health of Cuba, reported 650 new cases of Covid-19 during his daily press briefing on the course of the pandemic in the country.
Duran explained that 10,946 tests were processed in the 18 Molecular Biology laboratories in Cuba on Saturday.
Forty-six patients are in intensive care, of them 11 in critical condition and 35 reported in serious condition.
Regarding pediatric cases, four children are in serious condition but stable, and there is one infant in critical condition.
The specialist expressed regret for the deaths of four patients in the last few hours, bringing the death toll to 170. Some 363 patients were discharged.
From March to date, 18,151 people have fallen ill in Cuba with Covid-19.
