October 6-7, the Communist Party of Cuba’s Central Committee Political Bureau met, presided by its first secretary, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz.
The agenda included analysis of several laws that will be submitted to the National Assembly of People’s Power for approval, among these were the Law of the President and the Vice President of the Republic; one governing Revocation of elected members of People’s Power bodies; the law establishing Organization and Functioning of the Provincial Government of People’s Power; as well as the Law of Municipal Administration Council Organization and Functioning.
A proposal to update the COVID-19 Confrontation Plan was also presented and will be announced to our people shortly.
In addition, preparations for the VIII Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, to be held in 2021, were evaluated.
