President Díaz-Canel opens Fihav 2018

Canel FeriaCuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel attended today’s inauguration of the 36th Havana International Fair (Fihav 2018), the country’s premier event to promote foreign trade and investment, in which more than 60 countries are participating, and will continue through Friday, November 2.

On the agenda for event, are the Russia-Latin America-Caribbean business forum, in which commercial ties will be strengthened.

Also much awaited is the Third Investment Forum, during which experiences will be shared and the Mariel Special Development Zone featured.

To be presented is Cuba’s portfolio of investment opportunities, including a map of exporters and products available for export, as well as the official call for the 2019 Caribbean Trade Fair.

Plans for the 500th anniversary of the city of Havana next year are also featured, as well as national days focused on Spain, China, Russia, Venezuela, and Bolivia.

The Havana International Fair (Fihav) has been held annually since 1983 and is one of largest in Latin America.
