Cuba-US Meeting Held in a Professional Climate

Cuba and the United States reported today here on specific topics related to the process of reestablishment of the diplomatic relations between both country, reported today a source of the Cuban chancellery.

A press release of the Cuban chancellery before to the meeting of this Monday pointed out that the delegations would be presided by the general director for the United States of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Josefina Vidal, and the assistant secretary for the of the Western Hemisphere of the US Department of State, Roberta Jacobson.

Also, that the meeting will take place ‘in correspondance with the communication that both parts agreed on after the celebration of the second round of conversations realized on February 27, 2015, in Washington ‘.

The decision to begin this process was announced simultaneously last December 17 by the presidents of Cuba, Raúl Castro, and of the United States, Barack Obama, like part of the actions directed to the normalization of the bilateral ties between both countries.
