Havana, Jul 20 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban National Assembly begins today three days of work of its 12 permanent commissions to analyze social and economic issues prior to the 9th Ordinary Period of Sessions, scheduled for Monday, July 23.
The Havana’s Conference Center is the venue of the second parliamentary day. The Central Bank of Cuba, the Ministry of Higher Education and the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources reported yesterday to the plenary session of legislators.
Among the issues to discuss are the results in confronting crime and corruption, advances in urban agriculture, and the draft Labor Code.
on the population and housing census, the production of construction materials, the Cuban energy pattern, and public health, among them that related to a draft regulation for medical decision in terminally ill patients, will be also debated.
According to the program, some of those issues will be discussed as a whole by many commissions.
The 9th Ordinary Period of Sessions of the Seventh Legislature was convened for Monday, July 23, with a new Budget Law as a focus of the agenda.
