The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Assange´s Mother Criticizes Australian Government Position
Canberra, May 31 (Prensa Latina) Christine Assange, mother of the founder of Wikileaks, criticized the Australian government for keeping away from her son´s extradition to Sweden, who was accused of committing alleged sexual offenses in that country. Julian Assange´s mother said the authorities have been absolutely useless and have discredited the journalist from Australia.

Vietnam: Intense Legislative Activity
Hanoi, May 31 (Prensa Latina) Vietnamese parliament declared that it is in favor of the control of advertising, among a wide range of issues of national interest, in its last week of deliberations in the current session. During a debate on the issue most of the parlamentarians agreed on granting to the Ministry of Culture a regulatory performance of that activity, to prevent frequent violations.

Russian President Begins First International Official Tour
Moscow, May 31 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin begins on Thursday his first international tour in Belarus, Germany, France, Uzbekistan, China and Kazakhstan, to discuss strategic ties, trade and the situation in Afghanistan, said the Kremlin. The first stop will be in Minsk, for a two-day official visit, where he will analize with his Belarus counterpart Alexander Lukashenko.

London, May 30 (Prensa Latina) British Supreme Court approved on Wednesday the extradition of the Wikileaks founder Julian Assange, to Sweden, where he is accused for alleged sexual assault. Assange, of Australian origin, was not in the court room when the decision was communicated in a hearing that lasted 10 minutes.
