The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Cuba calls Anti-imperialist Solidarity Conference for Democracy and against Neoliberalism
To discuss the needed articulation of movements, organizations and groups focused on the struggle against imperialism, the Cuban Social Movement Coalition has called an Anti-imperialist Solidarity Conference for Democracy and against Neoliberalism, November 1-3, in Havana’s International Conference Center.

The most severe and failed unilateral measure

First joint enterprise launched by Cuba and Russia

Intellectuals join forces to denounce U.S. attacks on Venezuela
“Heroic, Bolivarian, revolutionary Venezuela calls upon our sister peoples of the continent and the world,” said Ernesto Villegas, minister of People’s Power for Culture in the nation, during an event held at the Venezuelan embassy in Havana, by the Cuban chapter of the Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity (REDH) to support a letter from Venezuelans to UN General Secretary António Guterres and the peoples of the world, which has been co-signed by millions. The campaign is being promoted with the hashtag #noMoretrump.

Ministry of Foreign Relations Statement: Cuba strongly rejects activation of IRAT
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly rejects its invocation under the pretext of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela being a threat to peace and security in the hemisphere, when in reality, the interventionist Monroe Doctrine implemented by the United States, hostility toward Venezuela, and the use of this treaty for such ends, that endanger the region’s peace and security.

Twitter suspends Granma’s account and those of other Cuban media
The suspension notification does not state the reason why the @Granma_Digital account was disabled, and although efforts have been made to reactivate it, no action has been successful. Editors and administrators of various media in Cuba, such as Cubadebate, Mesa Redonda, the Caribe television broadcaster, and Radio Rebelde, have also reported on Facebook and other channels, the suspension of their Twitter accounts without cause.
