The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Syria: Attacks in Damascus Kill one, Damage Infrastructure
Damascus, Mar 26 (PL) At least one student died and others were injured today after several mortars fell at a school in the neighborhood of Bab Sharki, in the so called Old Damascus.Two similar projectiles struck in Tuesday morning in the busy area of Baramkeh, near the headquarters of the news agency SANA, in this capital.Several people were injured and property damage was reported in surrounding buildings and vehicles. Early reports make reference to several people injured and considerable property damage.

Iran Demands Serious Efforts by NOAL for Stability in Syria

Kofi Annan again at UN, but for Syria
Former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan will arrive on Wednesday at the United Nations, the organization he led for ten years, but this time as a UN and Arab League (AL) special envoy on the crisis in Syria. According to an official announcement, Annan will talk here on the conflict with the current UN Secretary General and his successor since 2006, Ban Ki-moon, as well as the members of the Security Council.
