The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Perfecting the animal health system in Cuba
The mission of Animal Health includes preventing the introduction of exotic diseases in the country, monitoring the surveillance system, veterinary diagnosis and the programs for the prevention and control of diseases, which guarantee the control of productions in the agriculture and food sector. These, among other premises, led to the passing on May 22 of a policy to overhaul the animal health system, reports Dr. Yobani Gutiérrez Ravelo.

Cuban authorities report 653 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths
Cuban health authorities on Monday reported 653 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths due to complications associated with the disease in the last 24 hours. With these data, the total number of contagions in Cuba since March 2020 has increased to 33,484, and the death toll rose to 240, Dr. Francisco Duran, national director of Epidemiology at the Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), said at his regular press conference.

Some 15 U.S. cities request Cuban healthcare collaboration
The absurd inclusion of Cuba in the U.S. State Department list of countries it considers to be sponsors of terrorism, a unilateral decision by former President Donald Trump, has generated condemnations from many countries, organizations and personalities around the world, including the U.S. The Seattle City Council (Washington state) requested that President Joe Biden reverse the inclusion of Cuba on the spurious list.

A laborious but positive review for the White House
