The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Cuban Legislators to Be Informed on Agencies” Management
Cuban legislators will receive today the reports from three State main agencies, and learn the work carried out by two of 12 permanent working commissions. As part of activities prior to the 9th Period of Session of the Seventh Legislature of the Parliament, to be held on July 23, the Central Bank of Cuba, the Ministry of Higher Education, and the National Institute of Hydraulic Resources, will inform the parliament about their management.

Graduates from the LatAm Medicine School Meet in Cuba
About 600 graduates from 25 countries of the Latin American Medical School (ELAM) begin today four days of discussions on the impact of their nursing care in communities and to strengthen ties with Cuba. Cuban Film to Open Cinema Festival in Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo, Jul 16 (Prensa Latina) Cuban film Habanastation will open the 7th International Children´s Cinema Festival in the Dominican Republic, to be held from July 18 to 25.
