The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Cristina, hope and perspective

The latest and outrageous episode of the judicial and media war against Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is making the right wing pay a high political cost, incapable of calculating the reserves of political energy accumulated in the people. It is not idle to remember the prosecutor’s request to the accused: 12 years in prison and lifetime disqualification from holding public office. Without the prosecutor presenting a single piece of evidence, the right planned to get rid of the indomitable popular leader, fend off her plans to plunder natural resources.

Siege of Cristina Fernández receives political and popular response in Argentina

After the Buenos Aires authorities placed fences on Saturday to block the way to the residence of Vice President Cristina Fernández, the protesters tore them down and there were clashes with the police, who used tear gas and rubber bullets. President Alberto Fernández warned on Twitter that it is imperative that “the harassment” against the vice president cease. In a desperate attempt to besiege Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, the governor of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, ordered fences to be put up a security operation.

Cuba rejects judicial and media harassment of Argentine Vice President Cristina Fernández

Díaz-Canel receives Kenyan Minister of Health

President of the Republic of Cuba Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez yesterday afternoon received Minister of Health of the Republic of Kenya His Excellency Mutahi Kagwe, who is conducting a working visit in our country.
