The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Textbook in France will Include Caricature of Cuban Anti-terrorist
A cartoon of Gerardo Hernández Nordelo, drawn at the maximum security prison in Victorville California, United States, was chosen to illustrate a chapter of a textbook that will be used in several Spanish schools in France. The book is being published in Paris and will begin to be used in April 2013 by students in their preparatory year to college. In its first edition 10,000 copies will be printed.

Venezuela Seeks Way to Stability after Right-wing Violence

Suriname Moves Toward Joining MERCOSUR
Montevideo, Apr 16 (Prensa Latina) Suriname is making progress in the procedures to join the Southern Common Market (MERCOSUR), that sub-regional integrating authority reported today. The Foreign Ministry of Uruguay, a country that presides currently over the bloc, composed of Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Venezuela and Paraguay (suspended), said a delegation of MERCOSUR visited Paramaribo, the Surinamese capital, this week to negotiate the steps to take with its authorities.
