The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Raul Castro Arrives in Algeria for Official Visit
Cuban President Raul Castro arrived in the capital of the People”s Democratic Republic of Algeria on Sunday to pay an official visit. The delegation accompanying the Cuban president is made up of Council of Ministers Vice President Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, and Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.

House-Sculpture Arouses Curiosity in Havana Biennial-2015
A work built at the bottom of Wifredo Lam Contemporary Art Center sowed doubt among the participants at the XII Biennial of Havana: is it a house or a sculpture?
For its creator, the Cuban artist known as ‘Candelario’, is neither one nor the other: it simply comes to art. Candelario, whose real name is Carlos Ariel Luaces, spoke with Prensa Latina about E14LAM, a work inspired by a model of pre-fabricated apartments that proliferated in Cuba 40 years ago.

More than 6,800 People Dead in Nepal after Earthquake
The death toll left by the powerful earthquake that shook Nepal a week ago has reached the 6,800 people today, government sources reported. According to Interior Minister Spokesperson Laxmi Prasad Dhakal, the number of people injured exceeds the 14 thousand as the chances of finding survivors after the 7.8 earthquake are slim. The number of victims is likely to rise even more when rescue workers reach the most remote areas in the next hours, the source added.

Russia Warns about Rise of Neo-Nazi Movement in Europe
Kremlin Chief of Staff Sergei Ivanov warned today about the rise of neo-Nazi movement in European countries, which he described as an “evident threat”. In an interview with Russia Today International television channel, Ivanov said “In the Baltic countries, in Ukraine, the Nazis march openly: carrying torches, Nazi symbols, for all to see”. Moscow is very concerned with the inaction of the local authorities, who do not even try to put an end to this, he added.

Chile Tries to Ignore International Law, Says Evo Morales
Bolivian President Evo Morales, insisted today that Chile tries to ignore international law, in reference to the position of Santiago before the maritime lawsuit filed by his country in the Court of Justice in The Hague. The head of state participated in the delivery of swords and batons to the new Generals of the Police at the National Academy, in the south of the capital, and during his speech he made reference to the Chilean position.

Western Media Gives Little Attention to Massacre in Odessa
A year after the massacre in Odessa by Ukrainian government supporters, the Russian foreign ministry condemned today the little attention given to the massacre in European and US news, as part of the “information warfare and manipulation of the media”. According to the Russian foreign ministry, Western media has given little attention to the events from May 2 last year, when Ukrainian radicals set fire to the Trade Union House in Odessa, killing 48 and injuring over 200 people inside.

In Spanish Television it can be discussed what is the best method to impose a policy change on Cuba
Major media – Spanish media for example- say categorically that there is no press freedom (1) in Cuba and show with their daily practice, what this press freedom is. The public channel 24 hours of Spanish Television offered last April 10th a wonderful practise lesson. Its space called “Table today” reviewed, among other news, the Summit of the Americas celebrated in Panama, where met for first time in 50 years, the presidents of Cuba and the United States.

The world press censorship UNESCO and the World Bank … when cuban education is praised
The reports submitted by UN agencies usually headlines the mainstream media and the data that highlight these agencies in their press presentations are often featured, in turn, by such means (1); but sometimes… not happen in that way. Millions of Cubans marched today through Cubas main squares on occasion of the International Workers Day, in defense of socialism and the conquests of the Revolution, started on January 1, 1959. An intensive movement could be seen since early today across the country, with people moving to the sites of the parades in the capitals of the country’s 14 provinces.

Vietnamese Prime Minister Talks with Cuban Representative
Vietnam”s Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung held talks here with the member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) Jose Ramon Balaguer on the deep bilateral relations, local media highlighted today. Dung delivered the main speech at the celebration of 40th anniversary of the liberation of the south, and afterwards met with the heads of the three invited delegations from Cuba, Laos and Cambodia.
