The blockade imposes restrictions on the world’s relations with Cuba

Cuba vs BloqueoCuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, in a September 16 interview on teleSUR, was emphatic in defining the blockade as “a brutal practice, that seeks to condemn our people to die of need, violates our territory, and imposes regulations on the world’s relations with Cuba.”

This was one of the many arguments presented during the twitter storm and online panel discussion, “The world against the blockade,” held at the Cuban Institute for Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) September 17, in the context of a worldwide month of activities against the blockade and terrorism that began September 4 and will continue through October 6, the 42nd anniversary of the bombing of a Cuban aircraft over Barbados.
