The determination to win is more powerful than weapons

Maduro VenezuelaVenezuela is living a decisive moment. Leaving behind the failed attempt on the life of their President, Nicolás Maduro, the Venezuelan people continue defending the conquests they have won and advancing the social transformation, despite the obstacles erected by the right wing oligarchy, which has once again demonstrated its lack of scruples.

Much has been gained:

- The government of President Maduro added 50,000 new pensioners in 2015, for a total of 3,031,381- before the Bolivarian Revolution, only 387,000 persons received pensions.

- Increased social investment in 2016, from 71.4% of the budget in 2015 to 73% last year.

- Ordered four wage hikes during 2015

- Closed 2015 with a million homes completed, surpassing the minimal work done by right wing governments over 54 years

- Since 1999, hospital facilities have been expanded 3.5 times over, over 800,000 medical consultation have been provided through the Barrio Adentro mission, and the lives of 1.4 million persons saved

- In 2016 there were 2,829,520 university students, a sharp contrast to 810,000 in 1999

The Bolivarian Revolution continues. Maduro, following the course charted by Chávez, is taking on even greater challenges, with the confidence of the population and the strength of the society being built, in spite of imperialism’s efforts to destabilize the country and defeat the people.
