The Ambassador of Cuba to Slovenia holds meetings with the President and other high authorities of this country

27535323_542600759439214_247813046_oThe Ambassador of Cuba to the Republic of Slovenia, H.E Mr. Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios had meetings with the highest authorities of this country: President, Borut Pahor; Prime Minister, Miro Cerar; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karl Erjavec and other representatives of the State and Government in the margins of the New Year´s reception held in the Congress Center of Ljubljana, the capital of the European country. It was a suitable opportunity to reaffirm the good state of the bilateral relations and the willingness to continue strengthening them.

The Cuban Ambassador took the opportunity to thank the Slovenian President for the congratulation message sent to the Army General Raúl Castro, President of the Council of States and Ministers on the occasion of the 59th Anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution. Similarly, His Excellency expressed the gratitude of the Cuban Government for the Slovenian support in the framework of the relations of Cuba with the European Union and the Resolution of the UN General Assembly which condemns the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.

The Cuban diplomat reiterated the invitations extended by the Government of Cuba to the Slovenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Karl Erjavec and the Minister of Health, Milojka Kolar Celarc to perform official visits and participate in Cuba Salud 2018 International Conference, respectively.
Cuba and Slovenia celebrated last year the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and they maintain the historical bonds of friendship and cooperation.
