FIHAV 2017 open to the world

fihav2-16-coloresThe 35th edition of the Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2017) begins today in the country’s largest fairgrounds, Expocuba, with 25 pavilions hosting exhibitors.

Prensa Latina reports that attending are close to 3,000 international entities, 37 delegations from Cuba’s trade partners, 19 led by ministries, and 50 chambers of commerce and promoters of world trade, along with 300 domestic companies and institutions from all branches of the economy.

Cuba’s chamber of commerce is looking to sign agreements with similar associations in several countries, including those in Belarus, Barbados and Guyana, Santa Lucia, and Angola, along with an action plan for 2017-2018 with the Caribbean Export Development Agency, with which the Cuban entity has collaborated for several years.

Odalis Seijo García, vice president of the Cuban Chamber, stated that the organization has prepared a full agenda of activities for the fair, with informative sessions, workshops, presentations of new products and services.

During FIHAV 2017, the country’s updated portfolio of investment opportunities will be presented, and the 2nd Investment Forum will take place October 31 and November 1.
