Miguel Díaz-Canel signs book of condolences at Russian Embassy

Diaz Canel emba rusiaYesterday, December 21, the First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, visited the Russian Embassy in Cuba where he signed the book of condolences following the brutal murder of the Russian Ambassador to Turkey, in Ankara last December 19.

The Cuban official signed the book with a message that read: ”Deeply moved by the sad news of the terrorist attack which caused the death of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Turkey, the honorable Andrei Karlov, last December 19; I convey, on behalf of the Cuban people and government, heartfelt condolences to the government of the Russian Federation and the Russian people, and in particular to the friends and relations of Ambassador Karlov.”

Díaz-Canel was received by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Cuba, Mikhail Kamynin, who thanked him for his visit to the Embassy.

The First Vice President was accompanied by Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations, Rogelio Sierra Díaz.
