Cuba and the United States discuss security of flows of persons and goods and cybersecurity

banderas cubaeeuu_This Wednesday, September 28, the first meeting on the security of flows of persons and goods between Cuba and the U.S. and mutual concerns regarding cybersecurity was held in Washington.

The meeting was held in the framework of the dialogue between Cuba and the United States on law enforcement, which began in November 2015.

The meeting took place in a climate of respect and professionalism.

The Cuban delegation was composed of representatives of the ministries of the Interior, Foreign Affairs, Transport and the General Customs of the Republic. The U.S. was represented by officials from the departments of Homeland Security, Justice and State.

Both delegations agreed on the importance of advancing cooperation and the need to sign bilateral instruments in this area, and agreed to continue these technical meetings in the future.
