Díaz-Canel begins official visit to Japan

diaz canelThe First Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, begins an official visit to Japan today, May 31.

The visit follows on the high-level political dialogue between the two countries and will address opportunities for strengthening bilateral economic and trade relations. The scheduled agenda includes meetings with senior government officials of Japan and its business sector.

Díaz-Canel is accompanied by Deputy Foreign MinisterRogelio Sierra Díaz, and Cuba’s Ambassador to Japan, Marcos Rodríguez Costa.
