After nearly five decades without direct postal services between Cuba and the United States, and having coordinated the technical, operational and safety details for its implementation, on March 16, 2016, the inaugural flight that will re-establish the direct exchange of mail between the two countries, through the implementation of a Pilot Plan, will take place, which should be established on a permanent basis in the future.
The reestablishment of this service will allow for direct shipments between Cuba and the United States of mail, postal parcels, courier and express packages, through post offices in both countries.
