Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, President of Cuba’s Councils of Ministers and State, yesterday November 25, received Rodolfo Nin Novoa, foreign minister of the Eastern Republic of Uruguay, who was making an official visit to the country.
In a cordial environment, the two parties emphasized the excellent state of current bilateral relations and reiterated their disposition to continue working on implementation of the Binational Program agreed upon when Raúl visited Uruguay in March, earlier this year. They additionally discussed issues of regional and international interest.
The distinguished guest was accompanied by ambassador Ariel Bergamino.
Participating as well, on the Cuban side, were Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, deputy minister Rogelio Sierra, and ambassador Mercedes Vicente Sotolongo.
