Cabrisas receives Slovak Minister of Economy

Cabrisas SlovacoOn Tuesday, November 3, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, vice president of the Council of Ministers, received Vazil Hudák, minister of Economy of the Slovak Republic, who is heading a delegation of business representatives from a wide range of sectors to the Havana International Trade Fair.

The meeting saw a fruitful exchange on the positive state of bilateral relations and prospects for their development. Both sides agreed on the advancement of links in the trade and economic spheres, particularly in the energy sector. They also reviewed the agreements reached during the recent official visit to Cuba by Robert Fico, Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic.

Accompanying the distinguished visitor were Ladislav Straka, ambassador of the Slovak Republic in Cuba, and other officials of the country’s Ministry of Economy.

Also participating on the Cuban side were Oberto Santín Cáceres, deputy minister of Higher Education; René Lazo Fernández, president of the National Bank of Cuba; Isaac Hernández Pérez, director of the Central Bank of Cuba, and Elio Rodríguez Perdomo, director of the Department for Europe and Canada at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As part of his agenda in Cuba, Hudák and his accompanying delegation have held meetings at the Ministry of Energy and Mines and the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, among other Cuban institutions.
