Syrian Gov’t Makes Effort to Begin Talks

Damascus, Oct 12 (Prensa Latina) Syrian Interior Minister Muhammad al-Shaar said today that his country’s government is making a huge eff

ort to start a political dialogue among Syrians without foreign interference.

The Syrian SANA news agency quoted the minister as stressing, after a meeting with Philippine Deputy Foreign Minister Rafel Seguis, the stance promoted by Syrian authorities since the beginning of the crisis.

Al-Shaar told Seguis that Syria is facing a terrorist offensive supported with foreign funds and weapons supplying armed groups.

The Syrian minister said that the world must know that there are countries sending terrorist mercenaries from various Arab and foreign nationalities to carry out attacks against the Syrian people and government.

Al-Shaar said that the government will continue its anti-terrorist operations in order to prevent their acts of destruction and protect citizens, but at the same time, it will create conditions to begin a political dialogue among Syrians without foreign interference.
