Damascus, Oct 9 (Prensa Latina) The Syrian Arab Army (EAS) killed Czech and Afghan mercenaries during clashes in the Ziraha neighborhood in the town of Qusseir, in Homs province, an official source reported on Tuesday.
As part of an offensive executed on Monday against those groups in areas near the border with Lebanon, EAS troops clashed with armed groups operating in the zone in west Homs, 162 kilometers north of Damascus.
During the military actions, the EAS seized a large amount of weapons, some of them Israeli-manufactured, and killed Czech and Afghan mercenaries, informed Syria’s SANA news agency.

Meanwhile, an EAS unit captured leader Mohammed al-Rifaí and some of his followers during a raid on the Deir Assafir neighborhood in eastern Ghouta, on the outskirts of Damascus.
