Violent Weekend in Syrian Provinces

Damascus, Aug 27 (Prensa Latina) Actions and clashes by government forces against armed gangs in provinces marked this weekend the atmosphere of violence Syria is currently experiencing.

Clashes by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) against insurgents in Aleppo, Homs, Rural Damascus, among other provinces, left a large number of dead and wounded among adversaries.

In the city of Aleppo, a big column of black smoke rose into the sky because of the burning of seven transports of gasoline, attacked by armed gangs near al-Nairab bridge. Some people misunderstood it as a result of a government aircraft bombing against the population.

Military actions against points where gangs operate in areas of Bab al-Hadid, in the neighborhood of Hanano, in Manbij, in Deir Hafer, caused heavy casualties in irregular forces.

Many snipers were killed near a shopping center in the area of Saif al-Dawla. They fired on neighborhoods of al- Aziziyeh and al-Suleimaniyeh in Aleppo.

Hostilities and countless deaths were also reported in al-Saliheen region, near an Industrial School, while many insurgents were killed in Tal Hidyeh, south of the province, and three gunship transports with DShK machine guns were destroyed.

Other clashes occurred in areas of Maysaloun, Saif al-Dawla, Bustan al-Basha, the al-Marja, al-Sakhour and al-Baidin roundabouts in Aleppo, where many insurgents were killed, and armored transports with DShK machine guns were destroyed.
