Damascus, Aug 22 (Prensa Latina) Western political circles and media increase the campaign to justify an aggression against the Syrian people and government, in this case using the chemical weapons issue.
US President Barack Obama threatened on Monday to carry out a direct military action if Damascus tries to use chemical weapons or provide them to allies, like Al-Qaeda.
“We cannot have a situation where chemical or biological weapons are falling into the hands of the wrong people,” threatened the US president during a press conference at the White House.
Obama’s statements hit the headlines of the US media, as well as in NATO allies’, who considered those comments a gree light for achieving their attempts aimed at toppling the government of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, sparing no effort and means.
In tune with the White House, German Die Welt daily reported on Wednesday that Syria “would not only have an arsenal of chemical weapons, but also a great number of biological weapons.”
The daily quoted a German expert in weapons, Hans Ruhle, saying that Syrians are working in the creation of infectious agents, like anthrax, plague, cholera, among others.
The ghost of the mass destruction weapons was used against Iraq, and Washington had to finally admit that everything was a false to justify the aggression, something that is still regreted by US families.
