Chinese Vice-President to Arrive in Cuba

Chinese Vice-President and member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party Politburo Xi Jinping will arrive in Cuba tonight on an official visit.

During his stay Jinping will meet with Cuban President and First Vice-President Raul Castro and Jose Ramón Machado Ventura, respectively, among other activities.

After Cuba, Jinping will also travel to Uruguay, invited by his Uruguayan counterpart Danilo Astorni, and to Chile, responding to an invitation from Chilean President Sebastian Piñera, according to the spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jiang Yu.
