Raul Castro Meets with Former Latin American Statesmen
Havana, Jan 31 (Prensa Latina) President Raul Castro met with the former presidents of Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernandez, and Guatemala’s Alvaro Colom, who attended the Third International Conference for World Equilibrium. In the meeting with Fernandez, the former president and Raul Castro showed satisfaction with the friendly relations between the two countries and prospects for development.

Cuban President Raul Castro Visits China
Beijing, Jul 4 (Prensa Latina) Cuba”s President Raul Castro began today an official visit to China, focused on strengthening bilateral relations, through the signing of some cooperation agreements. According to reports, the Cuban head of State also expects to talk with his Chinese peer Hu Jintao and other top authorities about international and regional issues of common interest.

Raul Castro, Hugo Chavez Meet
Cuban President Raul Castro received Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez on Wednesday. Chavez, who is concluding a tour that took him to Ecuador and Brazil, arrived in this capital early today. During his stay here, the visitor will review the development of the extensive existing bilateral links between Havana and Caracas, Granma newspaper reported.

Chinese Vice-President to Arrive in Cuba
Chinese Vice-President and member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party Politburo Xi Jinping will arrive in Cuba tonight on an official visit. During his stay Jinping will meet with Cuban President and First Vice-President Raul Castro and Jose Ramón Machado Ventura, respectively, among other activities. After Cuba, Jinping will also travel to Uruguay, invited by his Uruguayan counterpart Danilo Astorni, and to Chile, responding to an invitation from Chilean President Sebastian Piñera, according to the spokesperson of China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jiang Yu.

Raul Castro, Lula Meet
Cuba´s President Raul Castro held a working meeting with the former president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who is visiting the island. During their Tuesday night meeting, the two leaders exchanged views on the excellent state of relations between their two nations, and talked about different international issues.
