The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Cuban Electoral Authority Finalizes Details for General Elections
The Cuban National Electoral Commission (CEN) is finalizing details to hold the general elections, which are scheduled for March 11, CEN Vice President Tomas Amaran asserted today. During a media conference, the official said they had almost decided the definitive number of electoral colleges, because some territories were still making adjustments, he explained.

Roel Santos: I never give up or tire

Cuban President Raul Castro has decorated three leaders of the 1959 Revolution with the title of “Work Hero of the Republic of Cuba.” The ceremony, held over the weekend in Havana’s Capitol building, home of the National Assembly, commemorated the 123rd anniversary of the beginning of what National Hero José Martí called Cuba’s ‘Necessary War.’
