The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

A new earthquake shakes Mexico: At least two deaths in the capital

An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 was recorded early this Thursday, with an epicenter once again in the municipality of Coalcomán, Michoacán, which was perceived in some areas of Mexico City and activated the seismic alert. The authorities reported that two people died in the capital of the Republic. The movement was recorded at 01:16 a.m. 84 kilometers from Coalcomán, where just last Monday September 19, an earthquake of magnitude 7.7 was recorded, causing landslides mainly in Michoacán and Colima.

New York: Prosecutor sues Trump and three of his children for more than 200 cases of fraud

The 214-page lawsuit is the culmination of a three-year investigation showing that Donald Trump and his children Ivanka, Eric and Donald Trump Jr., as well as Trump Organization executives Allen Weisselberg and Jeffrey McConney, allegedly used the image of wealth and opulence of the former president to make him look like a great businessman who earned millions of dollars when he was a television presenter, as well as during his presidency. Civil Defense issues early warning on tropical depression nine

Latin Recording Academy Announces 2022 Latin Grammy Awards Nominees

The Latin Recording Academy announced this Wednesday the nominees for the 23rd annual Latin Grammy Awards. Nominees were selected from more than 18,000 entries in 53 categories. The album “Ancestro Sinfónico”, by the Cubans X Alfonso, Eme Alfonso and the Síntesis group, is part of this list of candidates for the Latin Recording Academy awards, in its 2022 edition. The disc competes for the gramophone in the section of Best folk album, which includes productions signed by Paulina Aguirre, Eva Ayllón, Pedro Aznar, Susana Baca, Natalia Lafourcade and Sandra Mihanovich.

Mipyme from Mayabeque produces and markets buffalo milk derivatives

The Lácteos Rojas microenterprise, the first of its kind in Cuba, is a venture that began in 2020 as a local development project. Then it would become an experiment for dairy mipymes, among 35 selected in the country. Russia calls for partial mobilization of the population in the face of the conflict with Ukraine

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on Wednesday for a “partial mobilization” of the population in defense “of the homeland, its sovereignty and territorial integrity” and denounced that the West has the objective of “destroying Russia.” “To guarantee the security of our people and of the people in the liberated territories, I consider it necessary to support the proposal of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff to carry out a partial mobilization,” the president said in a message to the nation.
