The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Serbian President concludes visit, fulfills dream of meeting Fidel
“It has been a fantastic visit. I’ve been with my friends, with the people, who like the Serbian, know how to appreciate their freedom,” said Tomislav Nikolic, as his official visit came to an end. Nikolic awarded Fidel the Order of the Republic of Serbia. The visiting President reported that upon receiving the honorary sash, Fidel commented that he would treasure it always.

Serbian President admires Cuba’s independence
Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić arrived in Havana yesterday, May 18, for a two-day official visit, and was received by Rogelio Sierra, deputy minister of Foreign Affairs. Speaking to the press at José Martí International Airport, Nikolić reaffirmed the excellent relations between his country and Cuba. The first Serbian President to visit the island since the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia, Nikolić commented that he admires Cuba’s independence and that the friendship between the two countries remains strong. Prior to his election as President in 2012, the Serbian leader served as head of the Parliamentary Friendship with Cuba Group.

Serbian President Arrives in Cuba on Official Visit
Serbia’s President Tomislav Nikolic begins today an official visit to Cuba, in which he will hold talks with the island’s Head of State, Raul Castro.
A note from the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that during his stay here, Nikolic will develop different activities.Early this month, Nikolic and Raul Castro met in Moscow, where both leaders participated in the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the victory over fascism.
