The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Cuba Attends Noteworthy Russian Tourism Fair
The Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) of Cuba announced today that a local delegation is attending the 25th edition of the MITT 2018 fair that will open today March 13 to 15 in Moscow. The Cuban delegation will be chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Alexis Trujillo Morejon.

Cuba will organize the Terry Fox Race on Saturday at the same time throughout the country at 10:00 local time, revealed today Carlos Gattorno, director of the Marabana-Maracuba project. According to Gattorno, the trekking race will be participatory so no categories will be announced nor will there be awards and once again, the Radio Reloj radio station will take the start.

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos announced today his Government”s decision to resume peace talks with the National Liberation Army (ELN). Cuban Elections Turnout 82.9 Percent, Says CEN
The National Electoral Commission (CEN) of Cuba reported Monday 82.9 percent of voters participated on the Sunday legislative elections, though this is not the final count, it indicated. According to CEN president Alina Balseiro,7,399,891 voters showed up at polling stations to cast their ballots, out of a list of 8,926,575 registered voters.
