The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Havana, July 2 (Prensa Latina) President Raul Castro welcomed in this capital Kim Kyok Sik, Chief of General Staff of the Army of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). Cuban Parliament Constituted in its Eighth Legislature
Havana Feb 24 (Prensa Latina) The Eighth Legislature of the People’s National Assembly was constituted here today after deputies swear to their responsibilities as part of the supreme body of state power that represents the will of the people. In the Havana Convention Center, usual venue of Parliament, those elected in the elections of February 3 presented the certificates accrediting them as members and signed their oaths, with an attendance of 98.37 percent.

Chileans Support Cuba’s Presidency in CELAC
Santiago, Chile, Jan 28 (Prensa Latina) The Chilean Movement of Solidarity with Cuba will support that archipelago in the pro tempore presidency it is assuming in the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), with a rally in this capital today. Havana, October 28 (RHC). – President Raul Castro met in Santiago de Cuba with the local authorities of the Communist Party and government to analyze the situation of the province in the wake of devastating Hurricane Sandy on Wednesday. The weather phenomenon left more than 130,000 homes affected, of which 55,000 to total collapse and damage the economy millionaires. The head of state stressed the need to find immediate solutions to the needs of the population and recognized the effort made in the reconstruction.
