Tribute to Martí on the 121st anniversary of the re-initiation of Cuba’s War of Independence

Floral wreaths were laid on behalf of Comandante en Jefe Fidel Castro and the President of the Councils of State and Ministers, Army General Raúl Castro, at the mausoleum of Cuba’s national hero, José Martí, in a ceremony held this February 24, to commemorate the re-initiation of Cuba’s War of Independence.

Cuban youth march for the homeland

On the evening of January 27, the President of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, Army General Raúl Castro Ruz attended the March of the Torches in honor of national hero José Martí, commemorating the 163rd anniversary of his birth. The Cuban President was accompanied by former Presidents of Uruguay, José (Pepe) Mujica, and the Dominican Republic, Leonel Fernández.
