The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Evo Morales to Fulfill Tight Schedule upon Arrival in Bolivia
La Paz, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) President Evo Morales will return to Bolivia on Thursday, where he will fulfill a tight schedule, including the transference of presidential powers at the Uyuni Airport, in Potosi, where he will arrive in the country. The president will receive the presidential attributes from the speaker of the House of Senators, Gabriela Montaño, to whom he transferred them on Sunday before leaving for Cuba en route to New York, the United States, where he was highly acclaimed at the 67th United Nations General Assembly.

Prensa Latina to Launch Book on Bolivian Indigenous People
The book “Abya Yala: An Indigenous View”, containing a foreword by Bolivian President Evo Morales, will be launched at the International Book Fair of Havana, scheduled from February 9-19.The book belongs to the collection Letras Urgentes (Urgent Lyrics), published by Prensa Latina’s publishing house, whose purpose is to address current Latin American and the Caribbean issues based on the contributions from the news agency’s correspondents and experts in Havana.

Cuba: Evo Morales Receives Honoris Causa Title
Bolivian President Evo Morales received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa in Political Science from the University of Havana in recognition to his outstanding contributions to the discipline. The resolution of the almost tercentenary house of higher studies, read by its rector, Gustavo Cobreiro, highlights the trajectory of the dignitary since his days as a union leader to the current responsibilities.
