The El Paso Diary is written by José Pertierra--an attorney who represents the government of Venezuela in its request for the extradition of Luis Posada Carriles. Pertierra´s journals describe the testimony, evidence, legal skirmishes, quirks and follies of this very historic trial that features for the first time the close collaboration of the United States government with Cuban authorities to prosecute an ex CIA agent who is one of the masterminds of the fifty-year old dirty war against Cuba.

Foreign Minister of Cuba arrives in Venezuela for ALBA-TCP summit
Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez arrived in Venezuela today to speak at the XIX Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples’ Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP). The visit of the head of Cuban diplomacy to the South American nation takes place after the diplomatic triumph conquered by the island in the UN General Assembly, where the international community expressed its overwhelming rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States.

Cuban Foreign Minister will participate in the High-Level Segment of the Conference on Disarmament and in the High-Level Segment of the Human Rights Council
The Cuban Foreign Minister will participate virtually in the High-Level Segment of the Conference on Disarmament, which will take place this Monday, 22 February 2021 in Geneva, Switzerland. Cuba’s participation in this event corresponds to its commitment to the international disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control regime. Cuba was elected in October 2020 as a member of the Human Rights Council for the 2021-2023 period, supported by 88% of the UN members, represented in its General Assembly.

The world condemns U.S. blockade of Cuba in the United Nations
Foreign Minister Rodriguez began his presentation of the resolution shortly before 11:00am, following the interventions of a number of representatives who called for an end to the blockade, including those from Myanmar, Equatorial Guinea, and Grenada.

The blockade: Not only unjust, but also illegal
The people of Cuba have lived, for more than half a century, under the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States, and are marked by this punishment for their “deadly sin.” From the oldest to the youngest, the entire population has suffered its consequences.
